ECU Ground / Chassis Ground?
 
Ok I know this is a NOOB question but what is the differnce between the two grounds?

Which 2 grounds?

The E6K harness has the big thick black wire that is battery negative, goes directly to the battery, the other ground wire with the round terminal on it is meant to pickup all the other shields from the harness to ground them, and you should choose a good chassis ground for that.

The rest of the grounds on the harness are not meant to be grounded, they are to provide grounding wires for different accessories that may need them. The reason i mention it is cause i have talked to people who actually ground those wires too, and there's no need.

Believe he's asking abou the PS series. The battery ground is just that. The other I believe serves the purpose of a reference ground for the sensors to eliminate ground offsets.

Yeah refuring to the P1000, I understand the chassis ground need to grounds the ecu, but the signal ground all the sensors then goes to the battery which in turn is grounded to the chassis.

Thats my question, whats the diffence since both the ECU/signal ground all end up as a chassis ground.

Claudio, I was looking at the MSD LS1 coils and they also have the 2 grounding points I was just wondering if one if it could be one ground?

Yeah, as Chris says, its like the extra ground wire you had on your K harness that went to chassis, this collected all the sensor grounds and shields so that noise could be cleared properly, and proper grounds for the entire harness.

Basically you'll do the same thing, you'll have a battery negative ground and a chassis ground. Simple.

Remember that the other grounds on the harness serve as sensor grounds or power supply grounds for accessories that you might wanna connect.

Get the normal LS1 coils, they are a good choice. They are guaranteed to hold 600+hp to the wheels on a 13B, no problems, and if you need more spark, the LS truck coils are slightly better. The MSD versions are slightly more expensive, and the difference between them is the additional bypass connector so you can use a CDI with them so you can bypass the igniter. But a straight set of LS1/2 coils will do the job quite nicely. Unless your plans call for 700+HP then i wouldnt worry about it.

Yes, the 2 ground pins on them can be grounded together at the engine block or a power ground, what ever you want, the norm is one of the grounds is an engine ground, the other is a harness ground.
