ECU cooling
so i've heard quite a few people report that they're haltech's get hot. this can obviously cause big problems, so i want to avoid it. i'm thinking about buying an ecu heat sink and fan like the type that goes on desktop computer ecu's for mine. does anyone else have any reccomendations for keeping the ecu cool, or is there really not that big of a problem in the first place? thanks

never had a problem but mine is not mounted under anything .

stock ecu mounting should be fine.
On FC's they are under a metal frame. On FD's they are mounted on the side by the passanger kick pannel. |
Anything wrong with the glove box?

This really only affects (early versions) of the E11.
The E6's (i.e. E6K, E6X) should all be okay. -Ted |
Mine sits in the stock ECU location, no problems so far *knocks on wood*...
I do have the majority of the harness thats surrounding the turbo wrapped in heat wrap. Rat |
