EBCS options.

I am fairly convinced that the majority of boost control problems that i am having stem from the solenoid. I did some research and found some very good info. This may be common knowledge to most but it is all new to me.

Found this on another forum.

I assure you the Perrin EBCS is an Ingersoll Rand ARO Premair solenoid which you can buy at Grainger (if you have a business account with them). Perrin silkscreens their logo on it, includes the hose nipples, and an instruction sheet. That's it. Same part.

Seriously, skip the Perrin part. It seems like the least attractive choice. They're fleecing you for an extra $60 for nothing but an instruction sheet and their logo spam in your car.

FWIW, the ARO Premairs are also rated to run 100% duty. You can hook up a 12v battery to it and put in the closet for 5 years and it won't burn out the coil. They're made of billet aluminum (read: heat sink), not plastic like some of the others. They're industrial grade pieces, and IMHO built like brick **** houses for what we're using them. 125psi, +150F, no need to lubricate. I bet you could run your car over one and it would be fine

This is the valve that they are referring to. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg...mId=1612667260

I also ran across a thread about running a 4 port solenoid instead of a 3 port. It looks like it would be a much better option.

This is the 4 way valve. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/6JJ40
