E8 Boost transition map programming?

Running 550/1600.
Running sequential injection.

How much effect if any does the staging map have if you have the staging set to common mode to your transition. For some reason I have excessive rich transition or excessive lean conditions. Almost had it ironed out and a small change by a friend in the staging map cause it to go excessively rich were as it was lean then rich previously. The bar before and after transition appear when holding throttle at that range to be fine.

I've read the manual and as far as I can see its just another bar (between primary and secondary transition. Like say your transition point is bar 11 and boost is bar 12 it would be like bar 11.5) that adds injection on the way through transition and down through transition.

Is there any easier explanation. Setup tips? Its scary trying to drive around the track like this and extremely annoying driving in town.

Also does anybody have BAC settings for the E8?

Thanks,
Ian

That's why you need to put it on a dyno and not just any regular dyno but one with an inertia brake and get the 'staging' mapped out. That's the quick, safe and most accurate method to accomplish it. With the way how Haltech have the 'staging' setup on the E-8/11 presently, staging is much more accurate than on the earlier ecu's.
