E6X to E8

Question....

Will a E6X wiring loom plug right into an E8 ECU?

I'm thinking of upgrading without the hassle of a re-wire.

From looking at the wiring diagrams and the different number of inputs/outputs I'd say no.

But I could be wrong :dunno:

Yeah I would assume that its not possible...but just double checking.

I knew I should of sprung for the E8 instead of the X....but it had just come out, and nobody knew much about them.

Yeah, the only major thing that i've discovered (yet lol) is that the E8 can do closed loop from the WB02, whereas I have to feed the X a seperate narrowband signal (which I CAN get from the WB) to do it.

But one thing, you shouldn't need to do alot to actually change it. All the sensors and other hookups (like road speed, 02, trims if you're using any) can be spliced in, or even simply plugged in depending on your first install as well as which harness you buy. But it will be easier then an initial install for sure.

If you're wanting an E8 give me a shout. I'm running a heck of a deal right now on the Haltechs. :)

Nop, the E8 and E6X have a totally different connector. The E8/E11 are the same, just a few wires difference from all the other inputs and outputs from the E11.
