Did the engine blow up because of the install?

Simple answer, YES.

not sure , I wasnt there and when I got the car back I took the motor out before I did any trouble shooting. I guess I need to start from scratch. The motor sit up for a long time before starting. But what ever happend it blew all 3 seals on the front rotor and left the back like new.

Yeah, i would definitely treat that install as a new one and start from scratch.
