Are you sure the coolant correction map on the 13bt E8 map is correct? Everytime i attempt to start my car with it enabled i can not get it to start. when i disable it fires.

Please dont post here, do it in the other thread, that way this thread remains undisturbed. If the coolant map is too high lower it. Also, these maps are BASE MAPS, i have to remind everyone to please treat them as such and tune your engine according to your mod list and needs, these maps are ONLY for starting quicker than if you would have to do the whole map from scratch!

13B Platinum Base Maps
Here are a couple of Platinum Base maps.
Plug n Play maps for the 2nd gen: Series 4 using stock sensors, stock injectors, stock coils. Series 5 using stock sensors, stock injectors, stock coils. Here are to general base maps for 2nd and 3rd gen, using 800/1600 injectors, since its the most popular combination out there. 2nd Gen Map, with 3bar MAP sensor and 800/1600 injectors, stock coils and ported. 3rd Gen Map, using 800/1600 injectors, 3bar map sensor, stock coils and ported. These maps were saved under v1.03 of ECU Manager. As always, go over all the settings to make sure they are calibrated for your sensors, never forgetting to "zero the timing", and make sure all is connected and dialed in accordingly. The 2nd Gen maps are for stock coils, and the 3rd gen maps are for wasted spark/stock setup. If you would like to run direct fire on any of these setups, just wire individual coils to each ignition output, and change the ignition mode to Direct Fire. |
Can i just say. The 2nd gen map for 800/1600cc injectors was very very poor.
I loaded into a customer car that we just finished. Tooth Offset was wrong.(at least for the factory CAS installation). Secondaries would not come on etc. Has the map been tested on a car? I have fixed most of the map and car runs great now and id be happy to put up the modified version of it. |

I downloaded Halwin and have just been playing around with it for the last couple days, I downloaded a couple these maps to look at and I have a question;
I noticed that inj time steadily increases until it reaches positive load, at which point it drops, and begins rising again. Why is this? I'm trying to learn more about all this stuff. |

Ign4 is available as DigOut/PWM output. E8 - 13BT S4/S5 engine, toggle feature enabled, 550/1600cc injectors. I need help with this one, can anybody try this and tell me what the result was? I also need advise on the Trailing Map, I roughly set the split to 15 degrees, and have it drop off constantly from 4500 RPMs and up. E6X - Stock S4/S5 (with toggle feature), Stock Injectors, Stock Motor, Stock turbo, internal 2.5bar map sensor. E6X - Map for 13B-REW with upgrades, 800/1600cc injectors. E8 - Map for Stock FD REW motor. E8 - Map for REW motor with 850/1600cc injectors, mild mods. And guys, as always remember, you can mix and match what ive got on here, for exmple you can take a any map with your correct ignition settings with the wrong injector combination, and then find another map with the correct injector combination and copy the settings onto the map you will use, or using the TEXT map you can select the entire maps and copy/paste them onto yours. Hopefully this takes care of it now. |

if anyone has a basemap for a haltech E6k for a stock S4 13bt with stock ports, stock turbo, 550/880 injectors, 3 bar map, stock TPS, and stock coils please EMAIL me ASAP please! i had a tuner lined up for an event this weekend, and he bailed last minute. 24hrs from now i need this car running, and on a trailer ready to go. please help ASAP.

Back from the dead. The links work, i am 100% sure of it. The website is not up i have not been able to find the time or pay someone to do it for me, but the links ARE WORKING! I know its a pain when i cant edit the original thread, but i can guarantee the files are there and the links do work. Also. I wrote another thread somewhere where i explained that these days unfortunately i cannot be all the time answering posts on the forums, but the other side of the coin is that i also charge for tech support. I have to stress the fact that the tech support i provide is the absolute best and most comprehensive you're going to get anywhere no questions asked. That is why i charge for it. I have 3 levels of paid tech support and they are: Level 1, US$100 bucks, this is email and instant messenger support only, to answer random questions and is per applications specific. Level 2, US$200 bucks, this is email, IM and phone (or skype) and we can also do remote session where i can take control over your laptop connected to the car via internet and i can help you with the tune as well as troubleshoot problems. This option includes me providing a basemap for you if yours is too far off. Level 3, US$300, this option includes all the support the other 2 have + base map + seminar style training where we can go over the entire system, i can teach you the ins and outs of the software and we can do a remote session where we go over everything. Think of this as attending a training seminar but without the travel costs. Im going to jump out on a limb here and say that the current iteration of base maps for the rotaries contained within the Mazda folder on ECU Manager are quite good and run pretty decent on stock engines. At least to get you going and on stock injector combinations.
You also have to remember, Haltech does NOT support the older DOS based systems anymore, not even if you pay them. It is unfortunate, but neither does Microsoft, they just killed WinXP and that product is 13 years old. About the same age or less than an E6K. Imagine if you called them to get support for Windows 98? Which is actually younger than an F9. Gents, i am going to repost this again, because a lot of people are regularly requesting maps, the maps uploaded here are now VERY VERY old, i dont recommend using them anymore. There are current base maps in ECU Manager that work quite well for stock setups, and will be certainly better than using these old ones here. Having said that i will be taking them down. So, a few things to keep in mind, when running the different variations of 2nd gen coil combinations the main thing to keep in mind that the ignition configuration needs to be correctly set for the type of setup you have, these are: Distributor mode for Stock 2nd gen coils Wasted spark mode for 3rd gen (leading wasted) Direct fire mode for individual coils (LS1 coils, CDI etc.) Each type of setup is also wired specifically so watch out! The diagrams attached in this section explain that correctly. |
