Does haltech + e-fan ??
 

hey guys,
just wondering if the haltech has the ability to control a efan by coolant temp? like turn it on when it hits 175ish or something.. and where abouts is it?? :) thanks guys!

Yes it does, I would assume it is under the accessories, mean you have to set it up.

It's typically triggers off any of the PWM (1 through 4), which are dedicated outputs.

You need to set PWM turn-on and turn-off temps.

For as much money as they cost, your damn right they control an e-fan :D

they control alot more than just an efan :D

for the person asking the question, download the manual from haltechs site. It's a PDF and explains all the inputs & outputs available.

well shucks, I didn't have to spend the $40 on the wiring kit that came with my fingerchopper :/

I tried wiring my e-fan up to the haltech and it won't turn the fan on, my car isn't running yet so I was just trying to see if the fan would come on, so I checked under my engine data screen to see what the coolant temp sensor was reading,and it was reading 76F, so I set the on temp to 76 and the off temp to 70,I then cycled the ign. to reset the ecu and the fan still was not turning on. I checked that the I am using pwm2 and I have pwm enabled and set to thermofan under the options menu. does the car need to be running for the e-fan to come on? or what am I doing wrong? I am using a 30amp 4 prong relay, I have one wired to 12v,one wired to a ground,the other wired to the 12v to the fan,and the other wire that comes from the haltech.

did you use the right plugs on the relay? Relays terminals are universal.

86 is power and 85 is ground. When those two get power, they close the switch that completes the path between 30 and 87. 30 is the power input for the circuit you are operating, in this case the fan, and 87 is the circuit output.

um how can a ground get power? and circuit output as in a output to what exactly? The way I understand it is, you have a constant 12v source, a relay ground, your trigger wire which activates the relay and comes from the ecu,and then your wire providing the 12v to the fan when the relay is triggered....

Actually, the Haltech shoots out a pull-to-ground signal, and all the other wires should be +12VDC!

oh so the haltech grounds the circuit then? ok so how do I wire that up to the relay?

Make sure you have the right wire to the right PW option on the lap top
