Direct Fire E6X

Is anyone running an E6X with 4 individual coils? I know the stock coils are stout but in an effort to save space LS-1 coils are easier to package plus being able to run direct fire verses wasted spark on the leading. I had read thread that said something about it not being a true direct fire and thought i would try to get someone that had run it to comment on that.

It's wastespark. The E6X can't do do direct fire. I have setup a couple E6K/Xs with the LS* coils though and they work well.

I wonder if Haltech could update to allow for direct fire seems like everything is there output wise to do it.

You couldnt, there are only 5 channels available in the X, just like the old K's and S's. What you can do is to try BDC's Direct Fire method using 2 trailing coil packs using the toggle option.

Have a look at that thread.

X is on the way out anyway, but im sure there will be a system to replace it soon enough.

Maybe a Platinum Sport 500? :D
