Difference between e6k and e6x?

Is there any difference between the Haltech e6k and e6x? My e6k got stolen, and e6x seems to be easier to get now, so I was wondering if there is a difference, thanks.

Just incase you are wondering, you cannot use the K harness with the X ECU.

differences: The new E6X have built in map sensors. You can use halwinX with e6x. I believe there are more pwm outputs on the X, and it supports dual maps.

is the datalogging any faster? K was 10 samples a sec

The K and X harnesses are basically the same with a few wires that are different, you could use them if you take the time to check the different pins in each and wire accordingly. If you download both wiring diagrams from the Haltech website you could make it work. But BE CAREFULL!

Also, the X and the K are basically the same systems, with a few differences, like the dual map feature, the closed loop 3d boost control, windows software, now with the built in internal 2.5 bar/22psi map sensor, but theharness has the wires for the external if you want to run it.

In my datalogs, the time parameter goes to one decimal place, but the actual sample times vary, so approx 10 samples /sec.

Speaking of logs, has anyone been able to use the halwin datalogging? I find it terrible compared to DOS. It also doesnt support auto conversion of A/D to AFR (the dos does). This is as of 1.25, perhaps 1.26 is better.

Also, good to know about the harnesses. I was just going by what the haltech manuals said.

Yes, you should just get the X, its a very capable system with lots of options, and when configured right it can do a great job.

NIK, when datalogging with the X you need to previously select what parameters you want to log before you start it. After its done you can either use the graph viewer or open it with Excel.
