Coolant correction has no effect.

I was going to adjust my coolant correction map this morning because I was running really rich at idle when the car was warming up and while driving. Well I just went 1 bar at a time and tried to adjust the correction but it doesn't change the afr at all. It's like the coolant correction map is disabled or something. Any suggestions?

was there ever an answer for this? mine seems to be the same.

I believe the OP was using an E6K or X so the only explanation for that is that either the ECU wasn't working properly or the OP didn't know what they were doing.

Since you're using the E8, you need to be aware that the compensation maps need to be enabled on the main setup page before they will work. Once that is done know that when you are manipulating a compensation map you need to do so in the live cells/bars to see an instant change. To ensure that the function is working as it's supposed to make a gross change (30% or more) and see if it works. Watch the injector pulse width output, not the AF meter. The E8 will also let you monitor the compensation percentage in real time.

With that said, coolant correction isn't something that should be messed with on a day-to-day, or season-to-season basis. It's very much set and forget. With the engine warm, 160+ degrees you'll want 0 correction.

sweet thanks.

makes sense, when we first started it up and flooded it with the base map. for some reason it sets it on 3d which is 250% across the board. setting it up in the beginning for 2d would of saved that hassle.
