Comparing two ECU?

Does anyone know where I can compare the difference between the following ECU's?

E6K
E6X
F10x
E8

Im new to the whole stand alone world but have some locals running the E6K with great results.
Looking to power a S5 Turbo II motor with slight mods, so I want to compare the ECU's to see what the differences are.
Thanks

Get the E6K or the E8. Personally I prefer the E11V2. The E6X is glitchy, and was basically a slightly upgraded e6K that supported a turbo timer and dual tune. But to answer your question haltech has all the pertinent information on there website located here

Thanks,
I was hoping to find a side by side comparison but will look through their.
Just want something basic to get the motor in my 79 rx7 going.

the E6k is OLD, but reliable. its batch injection, DOS software, 80's technology.

E6X is windows, but buggy.

F10X is the windows version of the fuel only ecu, it only does fuel, and it doesn't do sequential injection or anything.

E8, is newer, windows, it does sequential injection. however its been superseded by the platinum ecu's so they don't support it.

the E8 is the clear winner, the next would be the E6K, and the others are doorstops....

all of these will require you to use adpters to get a serial port happeneing on your average modern PC/laptop
if your half savvy with that, then the e8 will prove to be just about everything the p1000 is

myself have an old PC with the serial port, just for the purpose of dealing with older haltechs

Thanks for that info. A bit more along as what I was needing to know.
So im thinking the E8 might be the way to go over the power fc with S5 harness adapter.
But guess their is the sprint RE that might be the better over all choice.

Get a new unit you will be happy you did. The new software and capabilities are worth it hands down.

yes, going to price a sprint re with everything VS. getting a older used one E8 or E6K

E8 is good (I have one) but the new ones kick ass !! :)

I wouldn't choose a sprint re over a e8. You lose half the I/0 and usability. If you can't get a ps1000 the next would be e8

I have an RE and I will have to say while the ECU is awesome and my car has never run better, it does lack some really nice features like closed loop idle and boost control, as well as any inputs other than what is necessary. If money weren't an issue or I needed the extra inputs, I would have gone with the PS1000. Honestly though, most people don't need the extra inputs. If the RE supported closed loop idle (CL boost would help too) then I wouldn't want or need anything else.

I've never used an E8 so I don't know the feature list, but it really just comes down to what features you will be wanting. The Platinum ECUs have great datalogging software and will be supported for quite a while. The E8 may have everything you want and more used for the same price as a new platinum. How much do E8s go for these days? Does their software hold up to the Platinum's?

Final thought: If I could do it all over again, I probably would have scrounged up the extra $400 or so and just bought the PS1000 for the CL idle and the ability to log other things like fuel pressure or another AIT because now I am sad I CAN'T do it without starting over.

FERO313, if you want closed loop idle, you can add the IO box to the RE. Still won't get you closed loop boost control, but will add idle and more general inputs and outputs.

Sounds like the E8 would be the best Ecu for my application then the ps1000 the next would be next.

Bad thing about the PS1000 new is I just cant see spending more for a ECU than the car is worth.
Thanks everyone for the input.

It's an FC , so insurance says your worth 4K or there about. Just playing devils advocate. I know that's how I justify my purchases.

haha, well actually it is a 79SA but it does have a full coil over suspension, r&p steering, turbo II front and rear brakes, turbo II motor/tranny, se rear axle, and some other mods. To me its worth more than that but the book is probably lower. Should be a freaking blast around the 300hp mark.
