A/C not working with Haltech?

Before I bring it to a shop is the haltech supposed to do anything with the A/C. Ever since I installed the haltech it does not work.

It used to make a girgle noise and now nothing. Not even a hint of cool air.

Thanks.

Does the clutch on the A/C compressor engage when you activate the A/C system?

The haltech has provisions to increase fuel while the compressor is running to make up for the extra load it puts on the engine.

Never thought to look.

Can you tell when it engages.
Thanks.

Ok. I looked. The compressor looks like its not working. the clutch if its the outside piece on the pulley does not spin.

Could this be the way I wired the haltech to it. The fan does turn on. Do I have to splice into the wire or actually disconnect it and wire the haltech the relay? current its just spliced into it.

Also were can I get the refridgerant for it?

Thanks,
Ian

AC w/ Haltech

i have an E6K installed in my FC. the AC signal must run through the factory computer (probably to bump fuel like the haltech). if i plug the factory ecu into the harness the AC clutch works.

i plan to just find what wire this is and bypass the ecu.

good luck

Got it working. Wired 12vdc to the magnetic clutch. now to find out why the haltech does not switch it

Uh, on an FD, the AC runs through the stock ECU, but I don't think any of the FC's are wired like this.

It might be a coincidence that the AC system pressure is low?
There's a low pressure switch that prevents the compressor from engaging if the freon supply is too low...

I would try and test the switch to see if the system pressure is low?

True. My next step is checking out that switch. Once I applied 12V to the clutch the air was cool. Not cold but enough to cool the car down a bit. Probable needs a charge. At least there is not a leak etc.

But I still did not get 12v to ground from the haltech PWM
