K2 used too, but I don't think its a wise idea; since the stock harness get all crunchy inside the engine bay. On my case, the sensor behind the wather pump housing, and the O2 sensor broke off upon removal, not to mention all of the issues with the TPS!

whats wrong with the car jacob?

pengarufoo 12-07-04 12:48 PM

yea whats up?

jacobcartmill 12-08-04 01:07 AM

my car is fine. i'm flying to virginia this weekend to buy rookie84's 89 TII. it has a microtech lt8... and the lt8 supposed is effed up and wont let the car start. so i wanted to go up there with an e6k or X, plug it in and drive home instead of trying to mess with the lt8

pengarufoo 12-08-04 03:17 PM

my guess is it will be easier to get the microtech working, something stupid is probably wrong. You could bring the haltech harness from your car in case the microtech falls through?

jacobcartmill 12-09-04 02:43 AM

no, but buyer of my car takes the car before i get the 89 :)

i'm gonna take the stock EMS up there to VA, that'll definitely get it running.

jreynish 12-10-04 06:52 PM

assuming that the stock wiring harness is still there

xfeastonarsex 12-22-04 12:08 AM

That dosent seem too bad especially if it comes with the ECU

jacobcartmill 12-22-04 12:38 AM

doesnt come with stock ecu. we're actually going to take a haltech up there now as a backup plan. and a trailor as a backup backup plan
