Alternator control?
Anyone using the alternator control function? If so, how do you have it wired and set up?

What is a field control of an alternator? There is a L and R terminal on S4 and older alternators and L and S on the newer models as I understand. I think the L terminal is positive and the S terminal is negative. I was under the impression that the L terminal goes to the dash and warning light and I would connect the DPO to the S terminal. Now I'm not so sure. As i have overthought this to where my head is spinning. where exactly do I terminate the DPO for alternator control? |
