do you have to use the stock afm or can u get rid of that piece of crap and use something else

im not joking i figured you could i was just making sure i am scrapping out a car and wanted to know if i should keep it of just get rid of it. sorry for sounding like a noob i am when it comes to standalone ecus. but thanks for the answer classicauto

Ditch it. Haltechs work off of what's called speed-density; they read a MAP Sensor and a trigger (RPM) to calculate base load. No air flow meter plunger ninja action needed.
