Adaptronic to Haltech - what else is needed?
I have a mostly working Adaptronic Select setup in my FD.
"mostly working" because the serial inputs no longer work, meaning the ECU is not getting Fuel and Oil pressure readings. Without those readings, the engine protection features had to be disabled, and I do not want to drive the car without those. The problem is not any of the all new and replaced circuitry leading to the ECU, it is the ECU having the issue. In any case, Adaptronic is no longer supported, and it is time to move on. Currently in the Car that is relevant to ECU: - Adaptronic Select - Rywire harness - BW 7670 in internal wastegate turbo - IGN-!A coils (Sake Bomb Kit) - Fuel Pressure Sensor - Oil Pressure Sensor - Custom Amplifier for ABS ring outputs, used for launch control - Innovate Wideband Controller - Non stock IAT. From a group buy several years ago. A Triumph motorcycle part if I recall correctly What I have ordered: - Haltech 1500 Elite - Haltech Harness adapter. - Haltech Wideband kit With the Adaptronic it was necessary to use an Innovate Motorsports SSI4 box to take the voltage inputs from the fuel/oil pressure sensors and translate to serial data for the Adaptronic. What will be needed to use fuel/pressure sensors with the 1500 Elite? Re the IGN-1A coil setup: given that this is nearly plug-n-play, is anything needed for the IGN-1A setup? Hopefully that is a matter of just selecting a 'direct-fire' ignition setup as with the Adaptronic, but I don't know that yet. IAT sensor: anything special needed for that? As for the launch control setup, I can live without it, but perhaps someone with experience setting up launch control for the Haltech can chime in here. Thanks. |
