I have an 85 I am working on here is what I have done so far. New ATK aviation crate motor with less than 5,000 miles, with a 2.25 in header flowing thru a hallow converter to a single muffler, a new drive shaft custom built by Redding Driveshaft. Exceptional job on retro fitting the engine compartment to accommodate any temp range. She maintains a very cool engine temp even at 120 degrees out side and at high RPM’s , a custom mounted electric fan system ( attached to the fan schroud for maximized air flow) less drag on the motor . There is a special racing 2 core radiator. The suspension is also redone. I used poly-graphite bushing set from the PST and there is a new clutch assembly, I have a set of lower front end nuckels and tie rod ends that go with the car, also from PST catalog. The car is almost race ready she only requires a Webber side draft carb system ( $1,000 dollars and shipping from Fast Eddie in L.A. the full kit with all the linkage, hardware and a custom tube runner intake to go along with the webber ) to produce a sweet 182 H.P. @ 8,500 RPM ( she tach’s out @ 13,500 RPM ), that’s to get her going now to get her to stop I gave her a set of aluminum drilled Disc hubs with Kevlar Pads and a new master cylinder and some good tires on stock rims to make her race worthy.I have a full picture set (aprox. 75 pics ) of the car build and I have the original build sheet and all the service documents from the previous original owner and she came with all the factory options. All electric with detachable sun roof, custom race steering wheel, and the rear quarter panels have been foam filled to increase the aerodynamic stability of the car both at high speed and during cornering the front spoiler system is foam filled to accommodate a better flow dynamic using the new spoiler system. The front spoiler system was custom built to stabilize the front end of the vehicle ( with driver only )during high speeds giving her aprox.23 pounds of down force at 130 mph. that keeps the front end from floating. I personally built this car and I built her to have fun with.
