^ That is really impressive for halogens and it rivals my HIDs. That is what OEM Hella product can do :)

i was speaking with toyzzzz and he said the pics don't do the lighting justice. he is very happy with the output.

rx7dreamweaver 09-20-13 11:52 PM

so how soon are you looking to have a couple sets to go out? i'm tired of being blind at night, and torn between these and sakebomb... but i like the small dual headlight look much much better. we were chatting a while back about helping you with testing. still waiting :)

superdan50 09-21-13 09:48 PM

should be available soon. I may have you test a set.

we're trouble shooting a few things, and would like some feed back.

So after hours of consideration, i am convinced that the issue that Toyzzzz had with the light fixture bottoming out before the headlight motor was in the down position, this causes the motor to reverse cycle back up. basically meaning that the headlight couldn't go down. what myself, David Hayes, and Toyzzzz can't figure out is why David's doesn't have the same issue. That is pretty the main technical hold up. Im going to do a new set of molds, because im not completely satisfied with a few things, finish wise (that has nothing to do with Shine, but rather the the pieces i produced to make the molds of). Plus I want to add a bit of material as well to make them longer on the sides (gives a bit more adjust-ability).

Also for those that were concerned with the gap in the hood that is visible with the lights up, Toyzzzz informed me that he doesn't have the rubber pieces that attach to the hood and hang down in place. We also thought that a body color vinyl could be applied to the rubber pieces thus masking the gap.

Looking really good!

Enigmatic 09-29-13 04:09 AM

Put me down for a set! Amazing!

DriftDreamzSS 09-29-13 05:46 AM

Those look pretty good. I dont think the gap will be an eye sore with the stock rubber pieces in there.

It looks astounding! I'm definitely in for the group buy.

rx7dreamweaver 10-05-13 08:09 AM

I was going to help get a set up and going... but if anyone is interested in buying out my deposit, David already has the lights in hand to send out...

He's going to hang onto them until i make this dreaded roadtrip back home... it's been a trainwreck so far, that's the only reason i was looking to sell my spot.

rx7dreamweaver 10-09-13 03:10 AM

Big thanks out to Peter for helping me, and taking my spot... I'm hoping to get things in order for a set this spring!

Super nerd question:

What is the weight of this kit vs. stock, all in (ballasts, etc.)?

superdan50 10-23-13 10:48 PM

im not sure what the weight of the stock reflector housing, i will have to weigh my setup. the weight will favor stock, considering only the reflector housing is removed for the new setup. then each side gains 2 modules, a mounting bracket and various hardware, plus the wiring harness does add as well. so the stock will be lighter, but likely only like 3lbs total if i were to guess.

Any update on this?

superdan50 11-08-13 12:10 PM

My final test set is mid-install now. So hopefully early December.

Also a side note, tools needed for installation.
Angle grinder, or similar. you will need to grind the flare off of the ball on the cam arm.
A cutting tool, to make a roughly 1.5 inch straight cut. a dremel works great, though a hack saw blade would suffice.
Screwdriver, or drill
Various drill bits
Various sockets

Here is another picture of this kit from this past SevenStock weekend. James I believe is the owner, from AZ.

Interested in being in the group buy

How do I sign up? And who do I pay for the deposit.

superdan50 11-15-13 01:11 PM

No one yet. When I am registered as a vendor, I will post here. These are not for sale yet.

All purchase questions will be deleted from here out, I don't want this thread deleted.

Any update on when this will be available?
