Titanium Strut Bars... OEM and Swap style...

Hey guys!

We are in the final phase of a couple other projects so that means - TIME FOR A NEW ONE! Well, TWO actually. We have two new strut bars in the prototype phase. One is OEMish (Type-A), the other is made for guys with motor swaps in mind (Type-B).

TYPE-A

Type-A as it's being called is an "OEM Style" strut bar. Basically, this is a re-imagined version of the R1/R2 strut bar, complete with RX-7 badge. It weighs in right around 2 pounds and will be available in burnt or sandblasted finish.

TYPE-B

Type-B as it's being called is a "Motor Swap Style" strut bar. This version has increased clearance for LS, 3Rotor & 2JZ swaps along with a master cylinder brace. It weighs in a bit over 2 pounds and will be available in burnt or sandblasted finish.

HUGE thanks to JP3Motorsports for offering up the most beautiful engine bay for test fitting.

Soooo... Since this is an INTEREST thread, if you are interested - please add you name and options below.

Damn, you guys are on a roll. Is it possible to have the master cylinder brace on the oem style one? And can you give an idea of the price?

This looks pretty cool, and the RX-7 badge is a nice touch. Last question, is this stronger than the OEM brace?

If you could do OEM style with the master cylinder brace, count me in.

It always amazes me when I pick these up. They are just shockingly light.

Again, thanks for the sexy engine bay pics!

Thank you. At the end of the day, we're just trying to make cool **** for our personal cars.

As for master cylinder stopper for the Type-A/OEM bar. We thought of that immediately after having these completed.

But yeah - it should be doable.

As for strength - I would say the differences would be negligible... I don't think anyone is going to swap an R1 bar for this and say "Woah! My car is WAY stiffer".

Since this in an interest thread, we're not allowed to post an exact price... but for comparison, the Carbing titanium bar costs around $900, the Improved aluminum bar is $400. This will be priced right in between the two. Like... RIGHT in between the two.

Yeah. Seems to be doable. I will report back.

Thanks for all the interest guys! We'll keep you posted as this progresses.

Any thoughts on hinged vs non hinged strut bars in terms of rigidity? Quick thought would be that a hinged bar would help with lateral movement however not vertical movement of the strut towers?

I'm glad you guys are making cool products for our cars. I'm out at that price, not because it's too high, but I still need so many other things for my car, lol.

However. If an extra titanium rx7 have could be had on its own, let me know. I have a sickness for cars and emblems.

I totally get the sticker shock - and I appreciate you guys removing yourself BEFORE we ramp up production. I can't tell you how many of these "interest" lists result in 50% actually buying.

That said, the Carbing bars sell for $900 and I just saw a ARC titanium bar go for $1500. The reality is; titanium isn't cheap. But we're trying to bring something to the market at a *reasonable* cost to customers.

We'll continue to post updates as this progresses.

Guys, FWIW, a new Carbing Ti strut bar costs around $1200 shipped to the US.
