SBG Universal AEM/IGN-1A Smart Coil Mounting System

We've sent out a few emails to those of you on our mailing list so sorry if this is a repeat but... here's our official RX7Club introduction... our "universal" coil mount for the renowned AEM Smart Coils (west marine IGN-1A for those in the know).

We still produce our welded steel bracket that mounts in the cruise control location, however those needing to retain that spot for other purposes (ABS on RHD cars, cruise, other applications, etc.) were basically out of luck. We worked hard to come up with a solution/location that worked for everyone but soon realized that there was not a universal solution for mounting them. We've received numerous requests from guys with RHD FD's, 20b's, 4 rotors, and a plethora of piston motors asking if we could make something that fit their car. So after a number of iterations, testing, and fiddling, we have finally arrived at the: SakeBomb Garage Universal Coil Mount

The SBG Universal mount is modular in nature and allows you to mount your IGN-1A's back to back, side to side, individually, or even in one large block (for you v8, err 4 rotor ;) maniacs). The mounts are designed to both attach together in a variety of orientations, as well as mount to a flat or uneven surface in a number of ways. The mounts include back and side threaded holes for bracket mounting ,recessed pass-throughs to mount directly to a firewall, and non-threaded holes for whatever mounting method you arrive at. By using a sheet metal "L" bracket from each side, or an "L" or "C" bracket from the center it’s a snap to reach an existing threaded hole in your chassis…. The sky is the limit for the ways these things can mount up, however a small amount of creativity on your part will be required :D

They are now finished and in stock… if there’s interest in combining these with other bits to create a full plug and play “kit” we could put together some package discount. To make these as plug and play as possible we are also offering PnP Mil-spec wiring harnesses, coils, and spark plug wires made to length for your application, supporting everything from 4 cylinders to 26b’s and everything inbetween.
