What does this do?

Allows for custom plumbing of a catchcan. helps prevent oil from running up the neck on long right turns and being pushed into the crankcase breather system (which attempts to burn off the oil through the engine in the stock setup) or from filling up your catchcan.

Allows for installation of the gz LIM without having to melt the factory filler neck for clearance.

It is one of those products that ends up having numerous benefits depending on your setup. If you combine this with a vent line from the other side of your engine, you should not have to worry about crankcase pressures forcing oil out on long right hand turns any more.

Bling factor is nice too.

I am probably missing some other features as well.

Saw this in person at DGRR this year, VERY well made and quality piece. Designed well and built right.

Hello,

I am installing the filler neck right now and I noticed when I removed the original one that it has a little lip which fits into the oil port and the o-ring sits around it. The IR performance filler neck does not have that same lip so in order to seal the filler neck is the o-ring enough or do I need to use something like silicone sealant to keep it from leaking?

What year is the engine? I would be curious to see this.

The stock neck is actually very leak prone. Use the provided oringprint. It's all you need.

Oh wait, you mean on the bottom of the filler neck itself? I thought you meant the flange on the block had a protruding lip! Yeah, don't worry about. Ihor is right. Just use the O ring that came with the new filler neck. It will seal to the flange perfectly.
