Sorry Marc! Cluster hood is still held up in New York customs. I put it up and looks good on the little bit it touches the dash but can't say how fits the hood. Idk why it's taken so long when only took like two weeks to get the carbon from you.

Any pics of roof spoiler?

Grinch 03-27-14 01:53 PM

Yes! Checked tracking and finally released from customs. Hopefully be here in next couple days so can check full fitment. Sorry for the delays.

Are the interior molds fixed yet? I'd be interested in a full set if they are OEM fitment.

I was just about to ask the same thing about the OEM part fitment being resolved.

Grinch 04-01-14 12:48 AM

Quick test shows going need some work to get fitment on the cluster hood.

We'll found out cluster hood I bought was off a rhd car and seller told me would fit on lhd. Come to find out that's false and could be why fitment is not right with the cluster panel. So need a hook up on a lhd cluster hood to test fitment.

kalinakona 04-01-14 02:20 PM

Hmm that's interesting, but even if a rhd hood doesn't fit on a lhd, I would figure the curvature to be similar, but maybe not.

Marc, any updates on the molds being modified?

x3..,

CarbonRXX 04-02-14 10:30 PM

I decided not to modify the moulds but to make some new ones.

One question I have for you guys, I could do this set with autoclave mould which would be much more precised and guarantees a perfect reproduction of the panels. 2 problems though: the first is that the mould cost is MUCH more expensive than the fiberglass mould. The second problem would be that the retail price for one set would be around the double as it is now, which means around 1000 USD or so. Would you guy be ready to pay that much for perfect panels with VERY high quality materials?

kalinakona 04-02-14 11:05 PM

I would be willing to pay that much for high quality pieces. Would the whole set include the door pieces, as well? If not, do you still intend on making them?

PandazRx-7 04-04-14 03:09 PM

Shipped AC/stereo panel yesterday to Marc in Shanghai so he can make a mold, he should get it in 10-14 days.

thatdon 04-05-14 11:07 AM

I concur, it would have to include the door plastics as well.

Definitely be interested in some oem fit carbon fiber interior pieces, keep us posted! Just waiting to see the new ones.

thatdon 04-06-14 02:45 PM

Please post pics once you do the new molds!

What it comes down to, is that people will only pay as much as they have to, however, there is no point dunno a lot of money I to something that still doesn't fit. It's supposed to get warmer here, so hopefully I'll have a chance to get that full carbon fiber kit on. You get what you pay for, but in my situation, I plan to paint over any imperfections of the kit since Wright reduction is more important to me. I know for your non-painted carbon guys, that might mean coughing up a bit extra money for it, but it sounds like you guys are more than willing to.

I'm not so much concerned with the looks of it as I am with the fit of it. Of course it would be nice to display raw carbon, but I'd at least like to just have something that fits like OEM with the OEM tabs and everything in the right place.

Got a lhd hood in the mail today and quickly test fit te blank cluster. Way better fitment but still needs. Little bit of work. I don't think that much to get it right.

Wow, I sound drunk, haha. It was the auto correct on my phone..

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that people will want to pay only what they have to, however, if it doesn't fit, then there is no point in having it. There is no amount of savings on parts that don't fit. It they don't fit, then they are worth $0.

CarbonRXX 04-12-14 08:55 AM

You can order them immediately. They are 250 USD a piece + 45 USD worldwide shipping (PM me!).

We are working on the other panels to offer a complete blank set in the very near future.

I just spent $1000 plus shipping to buy some near mint condition 94 textured interior plastics.
If you could produce OEM spec panels with zero imperfections, I don't think your going to have any problems selling them at your asking price.

I have no problem with this, but I'd like to see a kit that's been installed I think before I throw down.

CarbonRXX 04-14-14 07:26 PM

OK then I will see if Grinch can do something about this! :)
