FD3S Rear "Euro" Washer/Fluid Tank
#578
1) A really cool Sake Bomb Garage cap is included. Same size, pitch and thread as OEM.
2) You can reuse your OEM cap if you have one (touring models generally do).
3) If you have a base or R1 - you probably don’t have a cap. So you can buy an OEM cap if you don’t want to use the supplied SBG one.

Hey Matt,
So what is the total tally of people stepping up? I see the list of people who purchase/deposit is up to 45 but I think a few people did not add themselves to it. Why do I care? Well it really is because.
1. I want to see this tank into fruition
2. Hoping that enough people stepped and provides confidence that people will also step up with the other project (headlight kit)

The tank is coming to fruition no doubt. Even if there were only 5 pre orders - we were already committed by that point.
As for the lights - those will happen too. I’m just going to adjust my expectations a bit. If I’m being perfectly honest - I’ll probably start with a run of 25 sets unless more people prepay - and I won’t have a bunch on the shelf. That project is a little different situation in regards to being able to regulate production.
We’re also gonna be doing another “tank” project with SBG so get excited for that.
All in all - I’m happy with how this is wrapping up and excited to share the first tanks from the molds. HUGE thank you to the community. It seems the bigger manufacturers are “out” when it comes to the FD3S (I don’t blame them) so it’s gonna be up to the community to keep pushing this platform forward. Your support makes these projects happen.
Anyhow, the next steps are:
- Mold is finished (“any day now”)
- Small run of tanks are produced
- We verify fitment, take pics, create instructions, do install videos, etc
- We give full on production the green light as long as all is well
- We wait on shipping
- We ship tanks and install kits to customers
This takes us to October so everyone should have them in hand I’m guessing by Sevenstock...?
But of course, I will keep everyone posted as we progress.
OH! There’s also still time to pre order for you really really last second types.

Anyone on the fence, this is the end of the pre-orders for the tanks! If you've been dragging your feet this is last day the discount will be valid. We're missing a handful of people, but this is par for the course for GB's... they'll still be available after this point but the price will be higher.
Now's the time to get your final pre-orders in!
**In other news**, our preliminary pump mount kit is finished!! We are doing some final testing on it and going to pre-production. This will mount the pump under the car in a nice tucked away location, and free from debris but also will prevent cabin noise and make the routing for water injection hose and wiring much simpler!
We've also teamed up with AEM and will be stocking their water injection pump kits, which will make everything a full plug and play solution! We're really excited all of these pieces are coming together.

In the future, I believe the "kit" will include the mount and everything else.
Thanks man!

^ Very interested in this as well, I have an AEM kit now sitting in the box so don't need a new kit but I would like to know what the SBG mounting bracket looks like, if they have indeed developed an FD-specific solution. Did not see any info on the SBG website on this, just the generic stock photo of the AEM kit.

By the time the tanks actually touch down (October) the kits should be available.
Again, I'm sure a "Install Kit Only" will probably be available for guys running this tank that already have an AEM kit and want a dedicated FD3S mount.
Thank you!
Yes. Keep your eyes peeled and SBG will release info as it's ready for the public. No need to add it to pre-order.

No problem. We expected this. No info on the FD3S specific kit is on the SBG website - nor really exists. I've seen prototypes and that's about it.

Correct... more info will be coming soon. I'm not sure if we should clog up this thread or start a new one in this same section... so we're debating. Thoughts everyone? I don't want to derail this thread but it's also very much related (though a separate thing in some sense for the bracket/kit vs tanks).
