Fabricator/3D Printer here - what FD3S interior parts can't you find anymore?

Hey RX7Club —

I'm Michel — mechanical engineer, fabricator, and the guy behind The Manic Mech-E on YouTube (youtube.com/@ManicMechE). I've recently focused on a problem that might interest you: reverse-engineering and 3D printing interior trim pieces that are NLA or no longer supported by the OEM.

Most recent example: the sun visor on a 2012 Hyundai Accent — I reverse-engineered it from the broken original, modeled it in CAD, split it across 4 prints to fit my build volume, bonded and finished it to OEM fit. The original swivel mechanism and metal frame drop right back in — only the plastic body needed replacing.

If you want to see exactly how I work — reverse engineering process, CAD, print settings, bonding, and final fit check — my most recent video walks through the whole build start to finish:

I've been researching the FD3S specifically. I've gone through Mazdatrix's catalog, and the NLA situation on interior plastic is genuinely bad and getting worse. These cars are 30+ years old and Mazda isn't coming back for them. Seatbelt quarter trim, defroster nozzles, center console pieces, dash bezels — this stuff is either gone or commanding prices that don't make sense for cracked plastic.

I'm building out my FD3S catalog and I'd rather make what this community actually needs than guess. Here's the deal: tell me what interior part you've given up trying to find, and if I can make it I'll dedicate a full episode of the channel to it — reverse engineering, CAD walkthrough, print, and fit check on an actual FD. Your part, documented for the whole community, available to order when the video drops.

Drop your year, trim level, and part below. The more specific the better — OEM part numbers if you have them.
