EOI Sequential Electronic Boost Controller

Hi,

I have always thought there is a serious lack of support for a good aftermarket EBC to suit the cars that stay sequential. In my opinion absolutely none of the aftermarket ECU's provide the software functions to configure and adjust accordingly.

I have started roughing up a PCB design for such a device. The general idea is the device splices inline with the factory control wires to the pre control, wastegate, turbo control, charge control and charge relief solenoids. I have worked out a way to provide supervisory functionality of what the factory ECU or your power fc is sending in the way of signals.

The current design has a few possible operating modes.

Supervise OEM control
Supervise OEM control + Intercept and feed the signals straight through
Supervise OEM control + Intercept and feed the signals through with higher closed loop boost targets
Supervise OEM control + Intercept and run a custom controller I develop based off OEM but with different boost targets.

I'm also looking at the possibility of additional inputs such rpm, speed, tps, air temperature.

I'm not sure if I would just supply a circuit board with a processor on it or if I can provide a whole box. I wasn't going to put any buttons or displays on the device, and just rely on a laptop to configure.

Install would be something like cut the 5 factory control wires, terminate with a male and female connector so you can revert to standard at any time and then this product would connect using the opposite genders installed on the loom. Other than that you would require a 2A capable +12v supply, and an earth lug in the foot well.

Just gauging any interest. I would have maybe 5 spare boards from my initial prototype if I go ahead.
