gauging interest: ABS unit rebuilding service

note this isn't a service as of yet, mainly to get an idea of whether or not it is worth pursuing.

as of now i am tearing apart a series 5 ABS unit to inspect it and so far it appears that a soft seal kit is all that is necessary to restore these leaky ABS assemblies. the hard parts show little to no wear. keep in mind i have yet to dig all the way inside and that may change.

my aim is to keep the service under $350. this would only be a service on your existing pumps, at least until i got enough extras to do a swap service with a realistic core charge of about $500.

you can still get the pumps new but they cost about $3000 new, so i envision that most people find a used pump about to leak or ditch it altogether.

point here is, let me know your interest and whether you would want this service and can afford it. if there is enough interest i will put together a list of seals to do the job as there is no rebuild kit for these ABS units that i have found. there is one company that sells reman units for about $1300.

I'd probably be interested.
