a way overdue big thumbs up for Goopy

i initially switched over to Goopy about 4 years ago primarily because i liked a lot of aspects of their apex seals. all CPR motors run Goopy seals. my experience is they don't break upon detonation, rarely warp, are easy on the housings and have a really nice endpiece.

in addition, Goopy offers something not available, i believe, from other seal outfits... a .004 oversized 2 mm seal. often i see motors w .004 or more apex seal to groove clearance... what to do? the 20th century answer was to open the groove to 3 mm. yuch, you end up w a heavy seal that hammers the housing. further, it is very tricky to do the machine process as not only do you have to get the width right but you have to keep the exact center of the groove. w the oversize 2 mm you can custom file the groove and corner seal and end up w .0015 or .002 clearance.

as my interaction w Goopy continued i started using their rotor housing honing service. exceptionally nice results and speedy.

take a gander.... the pictures speaks for itself.

finally, when i run into some type of issue that needs an answer i generally reach out to a number of people. Goopy, without exception, has always been the first to reply and is always worth listening to.

five stars for you.
