Rotary Resurrection - A Great Experience

Well, the time had come for me to either take the plunge and begin pouring money into my FD....or sell it. I want you all to be happy with the decision I made, pour money into that thing like it's on fire!

The car was purchased off of a member here and I had some doubts at the beginning as to the quality of the previous work performed. The motor was a 'JDM Swap' but with no paper or documentation to prove it. I'm as hesitant as the next guy and I figured I'd put my mind at ease with a rebuild. I'd used Kevin in the past and had nothing but a good experience then, so why not return?

The motor was sent to him and was promptly torn down and inspected. Kevin is now famous for his multitude of pictures taken and his lengthy descriptions of the state of the motor. I have an online picture gallery from him with more than 50 pictures and a long description that I've printed and added to my 'RX7' folder for record keeping. This is a great asset for the future if the time comes to part with the vehicle and is something that's often overlooked. Having proof is always helpful.

Fast forward to now and the engine is on its way back. Kevin and I had some excellent conversations throughout the process, some just eventually turning to hilarity, and some being extremely informative. I didn't need any outside work done on the housings so it was a quick 2 week turnaround. Kevin was upfront about the price, as well as quick to email me if anything unexpected happened. The motor is a large street port with 2mm ALS seals and looks great and I can't wait to get it installed and tuned up.

Thanks again Kevin, I appreciated everything!

PS, The only thing we disagreed on was the color! Kevin says it looks 'meh' and I say it looks awesome. It's different than your basic color changing rotary!

Look him up guys, you won't regret it.
