would you sell a renesis engine or use the parts out of it

like the title says would you sell a newly remaned renesis engine you got for free or would you take it apart and use the parts (rotors, eccentric shaft, counterwieghts, flywheel, etc.) in bridge ported s4 housings. and run a crazy n/a? whats you oppinion on the subject?

Sell. Maybe try to use whole if I had an NA.

stevie1020 07-15-06 05:23 PM

just use it

depends what your goals are. do you want a renesis in your car? or do you want a faster car? you could sell it for enough to get a nice turbo set up most likely. one thing i wouldnt do is take it apart, it'll probably worth less in pieces (but check! it might not!)

i will always want a faster car no matter how fast it is and i was tring to stay na and i know it would be too much work and money to put the renesis in the car

The renesis parts buy you very little compared to what you could get by selling it as a complete engine. You could sell the engine off and use the cash to buy a street ported S5 short block.

Think about it: the minute you crack that block open, you reduce its value by the cost of the rebuild it would take to put it back together.

so very true didn't think of it that way but what about a street ported s4 or s5 block with rx8 rotors eccentric shaft stat gears counterweights and flywheel?

rexset 07-22-06 07:41 PM

If I have that problem I will buy a 20b and another renesis rotor and build a race ported 20B with renesis rotors.
Sound like a good idea but meaby a litle bit expencive

royaltrex7 07-23-06 09:04 PM

yeah and the reason for doing it this way is cost
