wont start
 

hey i have a 86 with a 13b in it. it startes when i got it but now it wont start we jumped it checked the spark plugs we cleaned out the fuel injectors.it sounds like its not getting gas but i dont know. its not the starter because when i turn the key it turns over. could it be a bad sensor.

Ok heres the list of things to check for a no-start on ANY car:
1. Fluids, oil, transfluid, coolant, everything. Especially gas in the tank. Check everything, twice.
2. Battery. Your battery should be around 12-14v when its sitting and should drop to 11ish when cranking.
3. Starter and connectors. Check your battery terminals and your starter wiring. Is it cranking over strongly?
4. Spark. Pull out a sparkplug and rest it against the block AWAY FROM ANYTHING FLAMMABLE and have a helper crank the motor. If you see it sparking then it should be ok. If the plugs are discolored (excessively black, brown, white, or oily) replace them.
5. Fuel. Listen for your fuel pump to kick on. Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail (there should be a little screw off cap for a guage).

Now the rotary specific stuff:
1. Flooding. Pull out all 4 sparkplugs and keep them away from the engine. With the plugs out and a fully-charged battery, crank the engine over. You should see some fuel and gunk coming out of the plug holes. Pour a bit of MMO or ATF in the housings and crank again.Clean the plug holes out and reinstall your plugs.**
2. Carbon lock. If it doesn't crank at all it may be locked up. The engine needs to be freed by loosening the carbon buildup with MMO or ATF and gently being turned over by hand.

**Check the unflood procedure. I know how it works on firstgens but not as sure with secondgens.
