Wiring to solonoids -84gsl 12A
 

I'm troubleshooting an Idle problem(and others) and found that the Air vent solonoid doesnt close when ignition is turned on(per test in hains man) I found I only have a volt or so of power to it with Ignition on- the same goes for other solonoids fed by the same black w/white wire. If I feed solonoid directly from battery it triggers right away. I also checked the same wires with an OHM meter and they all show partially open to ground. After reviewing wiring diagram it appears I should have 12 volts at all of these solonoids - Is this correct? Assuming it is, I have followed power to fuel pump cut relay-has 12 volts on both black w/white wires- then followed to connector to engine wiring harness(passenger side engine compartment near firewall) I still have 12 volts on both black W/ white wires on engine side of connector. From there I believe these wires split and go directly to the solonoids. I am prepared to run new wires from the harness to the individual solonoids as I think a short is indicated between harness and solonoids. Is this correct?-anything else I should check? Thanks for any help.

Didn't get much response but wanted everyone to know I had not one but three broken wires in the wiring harness amazing that one black w/ wh wire feeds 6 or 7 different solonids and the alternator. ran a lot different with solonoids working!
