winter time help!

Hello everyone I know this doesn't really go with this section of the forum, but I can't post in the lounge and I feel this is the next best thing. So the winter is coming and I live in MA where its suppose to snow a decent amount this year. I'm going to buy my first rx7sunday, but I was wondering if I should wait for spring to come back around to get a rx7 and just get a winter truck or jeep. Any advice would be great!

Well, it kind of depends on the 7. However, the general consensus is it's better to get a cheap fwd/awd car for winter driving. However, I am driving my FB this winter so I dunno.

It also kinda depends on where you live, if you get deep snow, get something with more ground clearance. If you live somewhere they salt the roads, get something you don't care if the chassis gets rusted out. If you want something that doesn't take 10 minutes to start in below 0 Celsius weather, get something else.

If you're getting a turbo rx7 and don't have another car I hope you have nice friends or good public transit. There are a lot of factors, and it kind of depends on how bad you want an rx7...

What gen/engine are you getting? My opinion is that I'd trust a 12a to run for 250,000 miles so I'd probably drive it carefully all winter. Anything else, have a backup car or pu. Wintertime means lots of time to spend in the garage working on your rx7!
