wheres the oil go
 

I have bought a rebuilt full cut bridgeport turbo s5 engine. It's gonna be kept for a while outa of the car. I am after exactly how to keep it all lubed up. I have heard everything from put the oil in the exhaust ports, spark plug holes, just fill up the engine(hard to do when you have no manifolds on it and no sump plug. I can get a sump plug if need be tomorrow), down the middle hole of the oil filter pedastal. theres probably more. Just after some advice. I've had a search around the net for a couple of hours but I'm sure it's covered here somewhere but just simple answers would be appreciated or a link. Cheers

just get an oil pump can or something to squirt oil with. put oil in the spark plug holes and in the intake ports and turn it over by hand a few revs to coat the innards with oil. do not use a lot, a small amount goes a long way. Continue the process every few weeks. keep some rags under the exhaust ports as it will leak the oil out some. try not to over lubricate it, just keep it wet and rotate it every few weeks. before installation turn it by hand and get all the standing oil out before you install the exhaust and intake. Make sure you premix some 2 stroke oil in the tank for the breakin.

cheers. thanks for the help. the other thing is i just got told i may have a problem. when i got it it came with no main pulley bolt or flywheel and flywheel bolt. i was told i may have put the end float outa whack and something about a needle bearing falling apart. i bought the front bolt so i could turn the engine but havent got the flywheel bolt. do i need it for turning and keeping everything all fine n dandy. also do i need to now pull the front cover off and sort something out?

i just didnt realise the two main bolts did anything other than bolt the main pulley plate on and the flywheel on. ???
