When Replacing Thermostat Does it have to be Stock?
when you replace your thermostat do you have to replace it with an oem one and by oem do you mean one from napa i heard that aftermarket thermostats are no good and you must use a oem mazda one but but stock mazda one do you think the napa one would work.

Basicaly most people use the OEM one ( from Mazda) Because they are more dependable then any other ones that other manufacters make... PLus the Mazda Oem thermostat has a pin on outer rim to lets any excess bubbles pass though..
you can easily get them at the dealer or at rx7.com |
I just replaced my t-stat and I used the OEM one. Directions said to install with the jiggle pin upward. I was wondering, what the hell is a jiggle pin? Thanks for the info 06fc3s!

I'd stick with OEM Mazda for stuff like oil filters, fuel filters, thermostats, etc.
