What is the symptoms of a bad side seal?

any info please

you will have low pressure on the faulty side of the seal,if turbo, boost will pass the seal and pressurise the oil,may have slight off beat idle, harder starting...

Also, when you let off the gas and create a lot of vacuum in the motor, you can suck the oil into the combustion chambers leading to it being sent out the exhaust in a blue cloud of burnt oil. Not that I know anything about that.

If you do a compression check you will find low compression on one rotor face.

side seal

do a compression test with a conventional tester, hold the check valve open. If you have a bad side seal you will have one reading much lower than the other two.

if the oil is pressurized, could that cause it to spew out of the nipple on the oil fill neck? Mine didn't have a cap on it OR on the nipple on the driver's side top of hte motor, and after playing with my new turbo for about 3 hours, I looked under the hood, and the driver's side shock tower was SOAKED with oil! Might this be the culprit?

I know that I have a bad side seal on the rear rotor since I recently had it checked with a Mazda checker. Rear rotor was 6.1, 6.3, 4.1

Also, would a blown coolant seal cause a continuous James Bond type smoke screen? I have this problem as well. Good thing I just ordered my J-Spec from Nippon Motors.
