What does it mean to bore a rotor?

I don't know if my friend was bullshitting or if he was actually telling the truth. He said he knew a guy in town that had an '83 RX-7 with bored rotors. Also he said by doing this it creates a vacuum. Is this right?

Either bullshitting or heavily misinformed.

Not to actually bore the rotor; maybe they were talking about changing the size of the combustion chamber on the actual rotor by grinding the leading end of the chamber larger than the trailing end?

Methinks your friend knows nothing and was merely talking to look cool. Similar to how one of my friends had a 1.6l rotary (always had to be better)....

I think his engine ate a seal, and it made a hole in the rotor! :D

That would definitely "create a vacuum" (it would suck big-time! :D )

A bored rotor is one without entertainment.
Say someone used a 12a as a backup generator in their storm shelter... Now that would be a couple of bored rotors.
:D

I've got two bored rotors in my driveway, :D. They haven't seen entertainment since I took them swimming.
