What is this gunk in my Oil Fill Neck?

1 Attachment(s)
I opened up my Oil cap to find this yellow gunk in the filler neck. It's like coolant is leaking into my Oil but the dipstick is perfectly clean of it. I use Castrol 10w30 synthetic. I cleaned it off and am going to see if it comes back. Is my cap loose and moisture is just seeping into the neck?

Thanks

Looks like coolant condensation build up.

Well as an IT worker I'd sure hope so. I didn't really know what to search for and figured if I made a thread then others would be able to find this.

I appreciate the responses...

Did you remove your pcv valve?

commonly known as "lung mustard".
when the engine heats up/cools down. the oil tends to froth and then Condensates..it Rises to the cap and sits there so you can open your cap and Say "WTF is this crap?"

The moisture on the inside of your oil tube is condensation.

It's the highest point and also the coldest. It is the easiest place for moisture to condense. If it's a real problem, you can drill a hole in the cap.

no mustard here .. and this engine is both LPG and turbo.. and as such it should have a worse issue than most

its all in the vent line hose sizes and the positions

vapours run out of the top of the cap to filtered air pipe pre-turbo ( or air cleaner in NA car )

a second,, same sized nipple and hose halfway up the filler pipe draws filtered air from a rocker cover filter tucked in corner of bay ( via a one way valve )

and thus the system is in constant draw though ventilation while the engine runs

using the high point allows a more total scavenge of vapours and avoids getting too much liquid condensate carry over

.. i run without a catch can.. and for turbo am using 9.5mm EFI fuel line as vent hose

only hassle is you need to loosen the hose clamp to take off the filler cap
