What exactly do you clearance; when race clearancing you rotary

Howist going

Im just after some information on Race Clearancing. I own a 13b Bridgeport , 9.2:1 Rotors , 48IDA , Electronic Dizzy Im trying to make the most out of it before i go to PP. I was wondering in order for my 13b to be raced clearance do i balance everything like they say in the FSM eg:

But to a different clearance .........?

or... are there some other clearances that arent mentioned in the FSM ?

if i'm not mistaken, race clearancing refers to clearancing the rotors themselves. higher revs tend to cause the eccentric shaft to flex (think of a bar bell) which would essentially lead to the rotors making contact with their housings. having never done it myself, i don't know the details of where and how much material is removed.

When you get your internals balanced have the shop take some meat off the rotors in the right contact areas. Shops like mandeville and pineapple racing can do this for you.

The side housings are shaved evenly (not sure if that's the same as lapped) to be an even flat surface equal to the lowest part of that face. So if there's a gyroscopic kind of e-shaft flex then the rotor won't catch or rub a high spot on any of the side housings at high rpm's.
