WB reading for break in

When breaking in a motor what is everyone WideBand read? :dunno:

I've been told it is suppose to be a 14:7 or near but my friend just got his car back it was running a 11:1 and sometimes 10"s for the break in period

the way I was told to be 14:7 or little less half throttle then start to richin up all way to boost. His was a 11:1 all the way to boost and even little more some times. I have been told this can be bad for some piston motor but dont know on a rotor? Anyone

depends on the load.

14-15:1 is fine for cruising with say 8-20" of vacuum, but you definately don't want it that lean for high loads. i run my car pretty lean in a lot of spots, but i've done a lot of tuning and datalogging to find out what i can get away with-where.

if you run say mid-high 12's right where it starts to make boost, then richen it up to about 11:1 at around 8 psi, you should be ok. that's richer than most guys run, but better safe until you tune it. just don't romp on it too much during the break-in, then go to the dyno and git-r-done. :)

basically in vaccum and over 1500rpms the engine should be 14.7:1, give or take. when it hits wot, or boost it needs to be richer, and below 1500rpms it needs to be richer as well
