Upgrading radiator and intercooler...
 

I am looking at upgrading my radiator and intercooler in my 94' but am worried about having to cut a bunch or make brackets and end up with a ghetto or PITA install.

What are the best options that mount without much frustration and dont require me to cut my car up? I want to increase boost down the road but right now I'm just trying to improve the cars lifespan and keep it running well.

The Blitz FMIC looks like a great kit but I worry that it would need me to cut the hell out of my bumper to make it fit. What usefull alternatives do I have, given that the stock IC isnt very effective...

As for radiators the KOYO seems to be a winner with everyone as far as cooling ability and price but I imagine it would be a pain to install with all kinds of cutting needed.. so I dont know what I should do or if there is a better option. I've even heard the MazdaComp radiator isn't bolt-on even though it is stated to be.

Since you don't want the hassle of a FMIC why not opt for a SMIC. Greddy has a very nice unit..
As for the Radiator I chose Fluidyne. Direct replacement and has satisfied all my cooling needs for a street vehicle.

choose stock mount, replace stock one for intercooler. and for radiator, It has to be big enough to cool down for 7, so you better get one is big enough, and i dont' think you can get away with the radiator. and oil cooler, replace that if you have extra money or you can buy FEED oil pan. I have not install it yet, but soon, i will give a report once i installed it

I agree to simplify things stay away from the fmic's. Most of these aftermarket rad. koyo, fluidyne are drop ins. Its hard to really get a ghetto effect if you have to make brakets for the radiators cuz once it is in you don't have to look at it again

Isnt the stock location really bad for an IC? I mean there really isnt much room there for a large IC. What specific IC would you suggest for that location?

I heard that with all of the aftermarket ones, Koyo and MazdaComp specifically you have to do some 'trimming' and 'motivate' the radiator into place.

If the Koyo is a REALLY easy drop-in fit than I would rather have it since it is larger but if the Fluidyne fits better I might want to go the route if it.

I was looking and saw the Blitz SMIC, it isnt too expensive ($850) for the kit bit it looks small in comparison to many other ICs. Would it be effective enough and a worthwhile upgrade?
