Trailing timing procedure for 1980 SA A/T
I am weary from searching... Can anyone help me with the proper procedure for the trailing timing for my 1980 Automatic, Anniversary Edition?
:wallbash: |
FSM with timing procedures found here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4M7...CNiYifEP&hl=en
Too lazy to type it all up, but hope this helps. |
That's what I've been looking at
the illustration 5-54 notes that it is for Manual Transmission only. To adjust the timing for trailing... on an A/T... one removes the distributor & rotor caps; loosens screws; replaces the caps; starts the engine; loosen & make adjustments with outside screws (no vacuum to dizzy). tighten outside screws; remove caps again; tighten inner adjustment; reassemble; and voila!?!
At what rpm is all this adjusting to take place? I can't even find the original source of the above procedure. |
Sorry, guess I could've linked to the FSM as well: Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals
I kinda glazed over the AT part, heh, sorry. I'm looking everywhere but I can't seem to find anything AT specific... Edit: BTW you may want to consider posting this in the 1st Gen Specific section. Probably get more help there. |
bet you're right
