tired of sterotypes -- name all the problems or flaws with fast and the furious movie
 

alright, this is a question that i want answered so that i can prove that the fast and the furious is not a movie of a typical street racer. now, i know everyone knows there are flaws with the movie. let's hear em:dragster: :wtf: :eatme:

Well for one thing, street racers don't have nice looking cars...

How about blowing your engine during a street race and then being able to run away from the cops afterwards?

Ricers don't have fast cars.

They put a Jetta in it. The definition of slow.

The only thing you double clutch in,Is a big old ass truck.

Made Rice boyz think NoS will make them beat anyone.After the F@F came out my friends shop sold alot of Zex kits the next day.But NoS is the shit look what it did for the S15 she smoked the white 7 realy bad.

Every one rolls around with 2 grand.

I could go on but whats the point you all know how bad it was and how people look at are cars because of it.My mom even asked me if thats how the drag races are.

The people look greasy, the cars are dirty, there are whores all over and ricey cars jumping on the roadside. I didn't really like that movie at all. It was too ghetto-style. I'd rather watch Cannonball Run...hehe yey....but seriously, my favorites are The French Connection and Bulitt, which have better stories and better cars and better people!

Wow, it's getting hot in here. The drag race in the beginning seemed to take a really long time to me. :rolleyes: I would think that after running your car at WOT for a minute or two that you would be at your top end. So why would hitting your Nawwzzz right before the finish line make you go any faster? Granted I have never taken my FD to it's actual top end (around 150 is a fast is I think I have gone - not allot of time to look down at those speeds) but I'd figure it would get there in less then a couple of minutes even without all that Nawzzz hidden under the seat. If that's not the case I should just trade my FD in for one of those fancy rice machines on the movie. I'm sure they can get to there top end in under a couple of minutes. :thumbd: :bss:

1. NO civic will ever fit under a semi truck, unless the semi is owned by a redneck who jsut put a 10" lift :).
(BTW, how come these are called "semi" trucks, but ford f-250s and such are called "Full size" trucks?? I jsut dotn get it ! ! !
2. Flames comign out of every car at the drag race likes its somekind of 1960 somethign V8 with a spark plug in the exhaust.
3. The Intake Manifold beign the weakest part of the Engine in the DSM???
4. Usign a Computer WHILE driving???
5. Using Nitrous AT your top end??
6. Like stated before, its supposed to be a 1/4 mile drag, not a 2 mile drag
7. "NOS, I need NOS, gime the big one, no gime 2 of them" I mean W T F ! ! ! ! nuff said about that line.
8. 9. and 10. Usign a computer while driving??? Yeah I know I said it already, but this is a bit much.

sup guys, i havent been around for a while. but i'm gettting back into rx-7's and might get one soon!!! anyways.

1. eclipse jumps from 120 to 140 in .00028 of a second... thats hella fast.

2. semi... civic ??? that doesnt work. plus you can see the lift on the semi.

3. what idiot would have the neon under the car while trying to jack a truck? thats illegal to have on while the car is moving, and may draw attention from the cops.

4. Poor guy doesn't take car of his LIGHTNING, just slams into the curb... made all the racers say "OUCH"

5.chicks dont paint lines in the road.... for the racers to use.

6.NOS is all any of those guys need to have a "Fast Car"

i'll think of more later. : P

by the way, on the DVD under special features, in the "Racer X Article" it says they think it's a mile long race, not a quarter mile

Here is my beef with F&F
 

#1 There was no way that RX-7 was a rotary, if it was it was running like ass.

#2 Light does NOT streak at those speeds, I have been steady at 140 MPH and light is VERY MUCH NOT STREAKING.

#3 Riced out civics do NOT make good gang robbing cars, get some hummers!

#4 What happened to the 3rd gen? He parked it and we never see it again.

#5 I wish I had a police radio with a scanner so I could know exactly when they were coming.

#6 I wish police response time in the movie was really that good, that would be a hell of a law enforcement system.

#7 Ok, did those guys really need to blow up his car?

#8 The only thing those Nitrous bottles were good for was an explosion.

#9 Those people CAN'T ACT WORTH A CRAP.

#10 At the beginning he spins out from going to fast and losing traction (probably due to lack of PROPER downforce)...so his solution to that is buying NOS???? WTF???

EDIT:

However, CUDOS go to them for the last race scene when they went over the rail road tracks, that flip/crash looked great!

i think the only thing good about the movie was the fact that everyone was scared to race the fd. =)

A Supra on 18's will Not run with a blown hemi with enough power and traction for a wheelstand. Remember, this same Supra was barely faster than a 355 Spyder, and he didn't hit the nitrous till late (30sec into a 1/4 mile race????)

Back to the thread topic: How about a 2 block long wheelstand and tire smoke at the same time? I've seen this on a 200 hp superbike, but a 4000 lb car?

the reason the rx7 disappeared is because rob johnson has more money than veilside and he owned the supra.

i know this one ricer with a green cavalier and celica headlights put like a 10-15lb bottle on it and was like asking around to my friends if i wanted race and that he was gonna spank my ass.oh yeah it was on a nonbuilt motor also

Hehe truthfully that charger wouldnt have had any traction with those 8 inch wide tires. Would have made nice puddles of rubber out of them though.

Check out the scene at Race Warz where the chick is lining up to race the FD. The seats in her car change back and forth between three different styles.
