TII flywheel removal

i didn't find anything on this site but came across this video on Youtube:

Flywheel Removal Demonstration - YouTube

i tried this technique using a medium weight plastic mallot and it didn't budge. And doing so with what I think was significant more pounding.

i think that flywheel on this video was already loose!

anyone out there have had success as shown?
or was a puller used?

that is how ive removed half a dozen flywheels. most of the time they are on pretty tight and has taken some pretty solid wacks. I used either a brass hammer or a steel hammer. just dont hit the flywheel surface.. you van also wedge the flywheel away from the block and tap the eshaft with a rubber/plastic mallet.

yea, that demonstration is a bit on the 1 in 100 side. most of the time i have to take footing with my 2lb dead blow and take a solid swing several times in several locations around the flywheel. the flywheel in the video was installed too loosely for my liking.

take a 2-5lb dead blow and hit the sucker in 3 varying spots on the flywheel and it should eventually pop loose. with the dead blow hammer it doesn't matter where you hit it as you won't damage the flywheel, a TII has a flat surface also so much easier to just whack away at it.

thx much for the feedback. now i feel a bit more comfortable I won't be doing damage.
