thinking stuck apex seals hopefully

ok. here we go. i got a 85 gsl, and the antifreeze seals are shot, because i pulled a plug and seen antifreeze on it. and its blowing radiator hoses too. so i figured its done....... well now ive found a 83gsl for cheap. i just pulled engine today and cranked it with a tool , plugs out on top of housings. basically checking for compression before i put it in my 85, and not to much compressin in front but alot in rear.now i pulled bottom plugs to see if all the apexs were there and they wewr in good shape still shiny. but for some reason in the front rotor they seemed a little inword. and its been sitting for 7 years. so do any of you think a little pb blaster would eventually break these free?????? or would it help to just put it in my car then try to push it with another car to warm it up to hot then the heat will prolly make the gummed up seal finally grab the housing???? im almost positive engine just needs a old breakin since its been sitting so long. please help. ive had 19 of these cars and a psh start always fires them up after sitting like this.........

Unless you just have plenty of time and not much money, I wouldnt take the chance. At least buy a coolant seal set and take the block apart, remove all the seals and clean everything, get all the seals moving freely in their slots (if they spec out for reuse) and reassemble. Course, with apex seals and oil control seals being so cheap, I wouldn't skimp there, either. For 400 bucks or so you can have a budget refreshed engine that you know should last for a few years minimum.

well i was generally hoping that i could break them free with lubing that front housing real good. because i put a real tiny screwdriver in plug hole and pushed all three apex seals, and they moved a little.so i was thinking if the motor is started in my car let it warm up with enough lube they could break free and ungummed....
