Tension bolt washers...

Ok so new to rotary rebuilds ive been studying them and how they work for the past year mines finally to rebuild point real soon due to blown oil seals... So my question is are tension bolt washers reusable? And any ideas on exactly what is and isnt reusable in a rebuild im planning on doing all soft seals and putting everything else back together exactly as it came out and setting all my clearances as Mazda has them factory.also any info on were to find all the clearance specs and factory torque specs?

Do not reuse tension bolt washers. You can't just reuse parts. They need to be inspected and measured to ensure they are in spec. I have a factory rebuild criteria manual that I use. I'm not sure if Foxed.ca has one or not but he does have the factory service manuals and they have a lot of useful information.

Ok Thanks...I do plan on fully cleaning and inspecting everything before i reuse anything it will be checked over well and measured with proper tools. Just cant afford a full rebuild n my daily driver needs oil seals bad it runs great n has power n good compression just goes thru a bunch of oil. im not really too concerned with it being a special build or upping the power any on it just it being drive able without using insane amounts of oil for as cheap as possible... Mostly want the practice and experience as well....

Autozone has a felpro soft seal kit 114 bux Part # fs-93851 it's special order. If yon get it make sure all the gaskets &orings are present! When mine came in it was missing inner water seals.

I've never put new ones on, just wiped silicone on the old ones and re-used. Never a problem.
