switching to synthetic oil

Ok first off i have searched in the forums for the answer and never really got it.

A local car store was going out of business and so i purchased Greddy full synthetic oil for rotary engines for half price:bigthumb:. So picked up new Plugs and a filter and was about to change over to synthetic......then a mech said i can't just change out the oil, i had to do it in steps..like half and half for 1000klms or something like that, then i would be able to put in full synthetic oil...

So....... can i just drain all my oil (currently 20w-50 for the break in of new engine) and change filter put in fully synthetic oil and i'm done. If so what are some precautions about switching it out and any really true horror stories about using Synthetics??

Some advise please....

The new engine was seals..rotors..and cleaned up housing...i blocked off my OMP (it stopped working and caused my seals to crack) and am currently premixing 1oz to 1.2 gal
