Starting Troubles...

So i bought an 86 GXL with a rebuilt engine and tranny
and it had a very hard time starting up, so naturally there
was a killswitch installed and the only way to get it running
is through a lengthy process of turning pump off, turning car
over, flooring the gas, turning the pump on etc. it NEVER
worked other wise so i thought a tuneup was in order.

I assumed it was a fuel problem (makes sense i think)
i replaced My fuel pump, fuel filter (clogged as fuck) new spark plugs,
new spark plug wires, had my fuel injectors tested which were perfect.

after this i put it all back together and it hasnt improved at all for
some fucked up reason. ive asked others but people on here
have a much more broad understanding so i wanted to ask all
of you if you have and idea on what it would be? Id like it to
not be a struggle to start it up everytime and i know its possible.

any thoughts people!

did you try test your voltage to your fuel system to make sure its not surging to where your using one part of your system and its shutting down the other part of the system, for example a miswired fuel system. Where your fuel pump turn on but at the same your fuel injector are surging or shutting, or viseversa. I had that problem about to years ago when I let a mechanic try to fix the car who lied by telling me he knew all about rotory engines, needless to say sence my hands are the only ones whove touched and will ever touched my fc3s. so far you got the right idea fixing yourself because theres to many techs these days that say they know what there doing on a rotory enging and the don't know shit thats inchuding some of the Mazda/ Rotory dealer and manufactures.
