Something Always Goes Wrong

Ok so i was so close to finishing the rebuild but of course something went wrong. Long story short the rear side housing fell and hit the oil filter stand and broke that and the pipe for the coolant. So now i dunno wut to do...is there any way of repairing that since its not for anything structural or do i just not take the chance of trying to fix it and having it leak and possibly having some hairline crack taht could turn into a major problem later? Heres some pics

well you could see if someone could weld it back.. But if it was me I would think I was SoL. What a pisser.

If I'm not mistaken, when you buy a brand new housing, it doesn't have any of that stuff on it anyway, so you should be able to get replacement items. I could be wrong though :)

I do know what you mean, though. I put a 'new' engine in my car which seems to be running great...then found a rusted out weld on the exhaust...then the interior fan wouldn't come on for the 1st time ever! I love my car, but I really wish it would just throw me a bone sometimes!

i guess you could try welding it but make sure you get really good penatration or else it will break.....again.

Pisser is like SoL.. if you weld it make sure you v grove it so its not just a surface weld.. I would take it to a machine shop and hope that they have a very good welder.

ok so it sounds that if the welding is done correctly then i dont have to buy a new rear side housing? i would love that! especially since its such a small part like nothing structural. does anyone know any good weldors in my area? or how should i look for them or wut to look for in them? thank you guys!
