Smokey starts, but no fluid losses

My FD smokes like HELL on cold start ups. However, I have no fluid losses such as coolant or oil. It does however peg at rich on the air/fuel guage. It doesn't do it when it's warm. I'm stumped, any ideas?

If it's not too excessive then it's normal. If you want to get rid of it the PFC fixes it somehow. I say just live with it.

How many miles on your car? Wearing seals allow oil to seep past them and into the combustion section when Rotary engine sits over night. Piston engines allow the oil to drain away from the piston to the oil pan. You see the smoke when it burns off It usually isn't enough to notice on the dipstick and is quite normal, but you should check oil level regularly. This minor internal leak allows more oil to get to the corner, apex, and side seals when the engine is running. This does 2 things: Maximizes compression sealing for better power  but it can also accelerate the deterioration of catalytic converter(s)
